On the surface, developer Fat Shark’s 2014 multi-platform-released side-story to the original Dead Island seems like an intriguing premise: a cel-shaded melee-focussed action-adventure with zombies. So, in this particular section, I will take the time to play a game of the past which could range from the NES era all the way to the Xbox 360/PS3 generation and share my thoughts with a rating out of five.Įscape Dead Island offers occasional third-person survival horror thrills but is otherwise a shambling, mediocre bore-fest. In fact, I am definitely guilty of spending many hours playing the old timers as much as the shiny new stuff. And, sometimes you simply want to delve into an old favourite or a series you have heard great things about but never played. There are so many games to choose from these days and different platforms that it can be overwhelming deciding where to start. Unless you are "sensitive" to violence and gore and language, in which case I'm sure there will be another mario coming out soon.Grab your camera and cel-shaded katana and get ready to bludgeon the undead again and AGAIN Basically someone took some of the best games made, put them in a pot of awesome and cooked up Dead Island. This game combines the styles of GTA with the weapon customizing of Diablo and the survival of Resident evil. The weapons are fun, customizing is amazing. Graphics good, weapons fun, story fun, and oh, did i mention the zombies?! The zombies are great so far, i have not beat the game but from where i have gotten they range from slow easy kills to not so slow and not so easy. The graphics are fine for me, I have heard some people complain about them but meh, some people gotta find errors in everything. Open roam if you want and main quest and all kinds of side quest. It has the same set up as games such as GTA or Red Dead.
